Rules and Guidelines for the 20-Day WordPress Website Bootcamp
General Course Guidelines:
- Attendance: Make sure to attend all scheduled sessions on time. If you need to miss a session, please notify us in advance and review the session recording.
- Participation: Active participation is encouraged, but respect others’ time. Avoid side conversations and stay focused during lessons.
- Stay on Track: Follow the daily schedule to complete assignments on time. This bootcamp is designed for steady progress, so falling behind may make it difficult to catch up.
- Ask for Help: If you’re struggling with a particular topic, don’t hesitate to ask questions. You can reach out via the course platform or during designated Q&A times.
- Assignment Submission: Ensure that you submit all required homework and assignments by the deadlines to maximize your learning experience.
Zoom Guidelines for Live Sessions:
- Mute When Not Speaking: Please stay on mute during the session unless instructed by the instructor to unmute. This helps to minimize background noise and distractions.
- Be Respectful: Treat your instructor and fellow participants with respect. Avoid interrupting others, and use the “raise hand” feature when you want to contribute.
- Camera On (Optional): If possible, keep your camera on during live sessions to enhance engagement and interaction. However, if you are not comfortable, feel free to leave it off.
- Stay Focused: Please minimize distractions around you (turn off notifications, etc.) to fully engage in the session.
- Do Not Record Without Permission: Sessions may be recorded by the host for students who miss the class. Personal recording is not allowed without prior consent.
- Dress Code: While this is a virtual environment, maintain a professional appearance when your camera is on.
- Chat Box Use: Use the chat box to ask questions or interact with the instructor. Keep the conversation related to the session topic and avoid unnecessary off-topic comments.
Technical Guidelines:
- Test Your Setup: Ensure that your microphone, camera, and internet connection are working properly before each session.
- Zoom Link: Only use the official Zoom link provided for each session. Do not share it with others who are not part of the course.
- Recording Access: If you missed a session, recordings will be available on the course platform. They are intended for personal use only.
- Materials: Download all relevant materials (slides, worksheets, etc.) from the course platform before each session.
Expectations for Communication:
- Respectful Tone: Whether in the Zoom chat, email, or course forum, always maintain a polite and respectful tone when communicating with instructors and fellow students.
- Feedback: Be open to receiving feedback from both the instructor and peers, as this is part of the learning process.
- Follow-Up: If you have additional questions or need further clarification, you can reach out to the instructor after the session via email or the course platform.
Consequences for Breaking Guidelines:
- First Offense: You will receive a private warning from the instructor or admin team.
- Second Offense: You may be temporarily muted or removed from the session.
- Repeated Offenses: Repeated violations may result in removal from the bootcamp without a refund.
By adhering to these rules and guidelines, we ensure a positive and productive learning environment for all participants. Let’s work together to create an enjoyable and successful experience!
